Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementing, monitoring and maintaining the strategic direction for the East Penn Canada transportation / logistics function
  • Analyzing all aspects of logistics and making appropriate recommendations
  • Creating and documenting policies and procedures for logistic activities across the organization
  • Co-ordinate for the optimal, cost-effective day-to-day transportation function
  • Creating, reviewing, interpreting, and following up on key performance indicators
  • Arranging for shipping documentation and maintenance of systems for tracking and tracing of goods in transit
  • Actively support East Penn Canada’s customer service strategy and direction
  • Promote, and participate in, an environment of proactive continuous improvement by monitoring specific transportation performance measurement systems

Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Post-Secondary Education, preferably in Business/logistics or a related program
  • Two plus years of Traffic, logistics, fleet and customs functions
  • Familiarity with technology within logistics field (e.g., routing software, GPS applications)
  • ERP experience (SAP preferable) beneficial
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
