Location: 20 Bay St. (Hybrid)
Pay Range: $21.22 - $24.41 per hour. Your hourly rate will be based on the year of study at school.
Contract: 4 months starting in September 2025 Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Our Commercial Management Office is looking for a Co-op Student to support the Director, Commercial Management and his team. You will report to the Director, Commercial Management.
What will I be doing?
- Provide support to contract governance and management strategies to ensure that Metrolinx effectively adheres to Metrolinx policies and procedures, and to minimize corporate liability and risk throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Support and track the creation and implementation of new Contract and Statement of Work templates.
- Supports to identify and closely monitors contractual risks, constraints and contingencies to avoid or mitigate additional costs, penalties and delays.
- Support to facilitate the development and implementation of commercial management systems, standards and operational procedures to ensure fulfillment of strategic and value for money objectives of the organization’s large and complex operational initiatives.
- Provide support to team for financial, analytical, and strategic analysis, due diligence and research to determine best course of action and recommendations to minimize financial impact to Metrolinx and maximize value for the organization, the stakeholders, clients and customers
- Support team to track executive memos and presentations on commercial and financial analysis and reports for senior management
- Connect and work with all the sections of commercial management in our team, from contracting strategy (pre contracting) to vendor management and invoice processing
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
- Must be attending school full-time and returning to an academic institution
- Must be at least 15 years of age before starting employment
- Enrolled in Business, Management, Legal or similar program at a post-secondary institution
- Interest in Financial Planning and Analysis or Public Sector Accounting
- Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Ability to work with and assist other co-workers with various task projects
