About the role
Telecom/Business Technician
Lakeland Networks, based in Bracebridge, is looking for a professional, technically capable, confident, and energetic Telecom/Business Technician. Your primary responsibilities will be to assist in the design of telecommunication plans, install technological equipment, analyze technical specifications, and communicate with customers.
Responsibilities:

Assist in the design of high-level telecommunication plans
-
Plan installations, migration and decommissioning with zero blackout
-
Installation of technology equipment and wireless technology equipment
-
Analyze technical specifications to prepare installation schematic and documentation
-
Conduct site surveys and audits when required
-
Communicate project progress and concerns with clients
-
Quickly shift priorities and adapt to changes to meet organizational and department requirements
-
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
A university/college degree in telecommunications or electronics, or appropriate work-related experience is required
-
Familiarity with Microsoft Office software and phone systems is required
-
Previous experience, especially in a technical role and/or ISP industry, preferred
-
Ability to learn and utilize new computer and phone software programs
-

Lakeland Energy's mandate is to create a fibre network throughout Muskoka and be able to support all businesses with speeds of 100Mbps or more with a high level of security. Through the expansion to residential services for homes in Muskoka, we are now able to provide our communities with access to the fastest Internet in Ontario.
