Position Summary:
Bird Fuels is seeking an Experienced Dispatcher with 3–5 years of relevant industry experience. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations and optimizing delivery routes for our fuel and propane trucks. The Dispatcher will utilize tank monitoring software, GPS systems, and route optimization tools to ensure efficient deliveries and uphold our commitment to uninterrupted service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain efficient daily delivery routes for fuel and propane trucks
- Monitor customer tank levels using remote tank monitoring systems to plan proactive deliveries
- Coordinate and schedule deliveries with a strong focus on our Zero Run-Out Guarantee
- Use GPS tracking and route optimization software to adjust and improve delivery efficiency
- Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Respond to real-time changes, including weather or traffic disruptions, and adjust routes accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel levels, and route changes
- Ensure compliance with safety and transportation regulations
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of dispatching experience, preferably in the fuel, propane, or logistics industry
- Ability to learn and manager various dispatch software
- GPS/route optimization software
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with MTO and transportation safety regulations
