Job Summary

 

The Associate, Strategic Business Development is an early‑career opportunity to join a high‑performing, entrepreneurial nonprofit team working directly with C‑suite leaders and changemakers. The role supports crafting and delivering proposals, decks and presentations that lead to powerful partnerships, while gaining hands‑on experience in social‑impact business development and strategic storytelling.   

Responsibilities and Duties

Content Development & Research

• Assist in creating presentations, partnership decks and internal documents that reflect Legacy+’s brand and impact story.
• Conduct research and contribute to writing compelling, high‑stakes proposals.

Project Coordination

• Help manage timelines, tasks and content development across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with team leads to ensure consistent brand voice, design integrity and narrative quality.
• Jump into a variety of creative, operational and strategic tasks with a “yes‑and” mindset.

Skills/Competencies

·      Assist in developing presentations, partnership decks, and internal materials that reflect Legacy+’s brand and mission.

·      Conduct background research and contribute to the writing of persuasive, high-impact proposals.

·      Support project coordination by tracking timelines, tasks, and content development across multiple initiatives.

·      Work closely with team leads to ensure alignment in brand voice, visual design, and narrative consistency.

·      Proactively contributes to a wide range of creative, strategic, and operational tasks with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.

Qualifications and Experience

 

• 0–2 years of experience in a fast-paced, writing- or design-intensive environment
• Outstanding writing and communication abilities
• Familiarity with PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign or Illustrator)
• A passion for social change, strategic partnerships, and entrepreneurial problem-solving
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal oversight
• Willingness to learn, grow, and be part of something ambitious and meaningful
• Deep curiosity, humility, and drive to build a better future through mission-aligned partnerships
