Trade Marketing Specialist
The Position
We are seeking a dynamic Trade Marketer to join our marketing team at GE Appliances Canada. As the Trade Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for arming our retail partners with the tools they need to succeed in selling our products across all brands. This role will be responsible for assisting in developing and implementing trade marketing strategies to drive consumer conversion at the point of sale & work with our retail partners to cultivate the share of voice for GE Appliances’ House of Brands.
In this role, you will act as leader, collaborator and executor of channel marketing initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and execution of trade marketing initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to coordinate information flow & ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives. I.e. Example – Promotion execution, Product Launches, Marketing Campaigns.
- and execute digital marketing & in-store activities with key retail accounts.
Trade Communications:
- with the brand marketing teams to create compelling trade communications, including presentations, sell sheets, and training materials.
- with Demand Generation & Brand to create & manage Trade Communications.
- with the Training Team to participate in trade events, exhibitions, and workshops to showcase products and engage with key stakeholders.
Relationship Management:
- and maintain strong relationships with marketing contacts within each retail partner & act as liaison between the internal brand & retail marketing teams.
- exceptional support and resources to trade partners, serving as a trusted advisor and ‘brand ambassador’.
Market Analysis and Insights:
- with key accounts to conduct ongoing market analysis and monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation within the trade channel.
- data-driven insights to optimize trade marketing strategies and tactics, maximizing ROI and impact.
Trade Program Development:
- with cross-functional teams to develop trade marketing strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- with the marketing team to design and implement innovative trade programs, promotions, and incentives to drive product adoption and loyalty among trade partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or) equivalent experience in digital marketing or related field.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Experience building and managing consumer-facing digital experiences across all platforms and device types to achieve business results. i.e. Sales Force, Meta & Google
- Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization, Lead Generation & Social Media Marketing.
- Ability to interact, communicate and collaborate with many different levels, both internal/external.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- A lifelong learner that is performance driven.
- Someone who recognizes our customers as our most important stakeholders.
- Someone who continuously takes initiative and embraces change.
- Previous retail experience is an asset.
- French proficiency is an asset.
- Ability to consistently produce results on time and within budget.
- Flexible and able to shift strategies and tactics when required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
