The Location: Hollyburn Country Club is located in West Vancouver at 950 Cross Creek Road. Prior to applying for this position, we strongly encourage you to Google our location to ensure that you will be able to travel to and from work as public transportation is limited.
Position Summary
The Childcare Educator plays a vital role in delivering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children within our Club’s Childcare & Youth Department. This position supports early learning and recreational development through age-appropriate programming, hands-on activities, and positive interactions. The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, and passionate about working with children, while also being a collaborative team player who contributes to the overall success of the department. A strong customer service mindset, flexibility, and a commitment to child safety and wellbeing are essential in this role.
Position Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children in a preschool-like setting.
- Plan, prepare, and lead age-appropriate activities that support children’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.
- Assist in delivering programs and activities in the Kids Centre and during Childcare & Youth drop-ins or special events.
- Maintain a cheerful, professional, and approachable demeanor when interacting with children, families, and fellow team members.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring families feel confident and comfortable leaving their children in our care.
- Collaborate with team members to share creative ideas, enhance programming, and contribute to the ongoing development of the Childcare department.
Skills & Qualifications
- Flexible availability; must be able to work Monday to Friday between 8:30am – 4:30pm, with potential for additional shifts as needed.
- Early Childhood Education (ECE), Infant Toddler, or ECE Assistant certification is an asset; related childcare experience with references will also be considered.
- Valid First Aid, CPR, and Food Safe certification are considered strong assets.
- Access to reliable transportation is an asset due to the Club’s location.

Working Conditions
- This position operates 100% on-site
- Regular evenings or weekend work may be required during peak periods or special events
- Own transportation is an asset as public transportation is not frequent to/from the Club
- Candidates must agree to complete a Police Information Check (fully reimbursed upon hire).
