About The Role Reporting to the Service Manager, the successful candidate will be highly motivated individual that will arrange work assignments and repair order flow to boost efficiency and maximize benefit of technician’s skill level and workload to ensure our valued guests have the best experience. In addition coordinate new and used vehicle deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Maintain balance by leveraging our dispatch system for work distribution process and ensures ongoing communication between service advisors, parts counter personnel, technicians and management to maximize the use of our available resources in the shop.
- Implements and maintains an effective dispatch system ( PBS )
- Prioritizes and controls all comebacks to ensure proper and prompt attention
- Ensures proper repair order documentation, i.e., complaint, cause, and correction noted on every repair order with punch time for each operation
- Reviews job status frequently, logging status and reporting any change in time or cost estimates to the appropriate Service Advisor and/or customer
- Review completed repair orders to ensure they fully describe reason for visit, diagnosis, and time/materials used for repair work.
- Monitor status of service orders, and notify service advisor/customer of any necessary adjustments to time/cost estimates.
- Keep repair log up-to-date to DMS
- Relay job status information to service management
- Coordinate New / Used vehicle sales deliveries with accessory, detail and sublet when required.
- Use courteous professional demeanor to serve customers and team members
- Commit to a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Min 1+ year of service writing experience in a dealership setting
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record, per company standards
- An enthusiastic, motivated, and energetic person who has a personal determination to overcome possible objections while providing an outstanding customer experience
- Professional personal appearance
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Process and detail oriented with developed organizational skills
- Confident in ability to work under pressure and prioritize
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Complete other duties as assigned
- PBS Experience an asset
