Job Purpose The Used Equipment Sales Manager’s goal is to drive used equipment sales through the wholesale channel with the best possible pricing, balanced by volume of deletes. The position will report to the Senior Director of Fleet Planning. This position will have significant interactions with regional fleet, operations and sales personnel. They will identify sales opportunities using leads generated through our website and assist in setting up sales packages with brokers, wholesalers, exporters and dealers. The strategic objective of the position is to maximize sales price (proceeds) and volume of sales based on business plan disposal targets.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize Proceeds through a balanced approach in Channel Mix, Pricing and Volume
  • Identify wholesale opportunities for used equipment sales
  • Build business to business relationships with dealerships, auctions companies and other market opportunities.
  • Determine geographic optimization for dispositions
  • Provide leadership and guidance to locations on used equipment sales, knowledge and how condition affects sales.
  • Evaluate current practices and introduce new equipment disposal methods. Strive for continual improvement in revenue generation.
  • Evaluate sales pricing to maximize gain balanced by target volume.
  • Maintain sales customer management tool.
  • Negotiate pricing, logistics, etc to complete sale.
  • Follow up with sales customers to ensure customer satisfaction and additional leads.

  • Good working knowledge of excel

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field. Will consider experience in lieu of a degree
  • MUST HAVE Experience in the used equipment market including retail, wholesale and auction channels
  • Recognition in the construction and industrial sales industry with dealerships, auctions and OEM’s with history of successful and profitable results
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Effective sales and business acumen
  • Ability and eagerness to be intimately involved with the business and contribute to business success
  • Ability to convince in situations without formal authority
  • Experience and ability to work efficiently in a dynamic global business culture
  • Effectively interact with all levels of the organization from Fleet Managers to Operations to Sales
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

Pay Range: Base plus commission; $140,000 - $200,000 total depending on experience
