Why StudentRDH Exists
I created StudentRDH because I believe in the power of the human brain. When we remove the clutter and learn the right way, we’re capable of more than we think—especially under pressure like board exams.
Unfortunately, students today face stress, uncertainty, and outdated learning methods. Many feel invisible in the education system. That’s why StudentRDH isn’t just a quiz bank or a 3-day crash course—we’re a full learning system built around motivation, clarity, and confidence.
What we offer:
- A printed book that pairs with videos, quizzes, and self-assessments
- Memory-based strategies and critical thinking tools
- Live events—case studies, trivia nights, test-taking workshops
- Faculty-facing tools like ProfessorRDH to help educators improve their teaching too
And we’re not slowing down. With AI tools, new national guideline updates, and our expansion into new formats like podcast learning and downloadable planners, we need someone who is ready to build, improve, and lead.
Who We’re Looking For
This role is equal parts:
- Student-facing teaching (webinars, video recordings, podcast-style explanations)
- Back-end content creation (quizzes, slides, written resources, support materials)
- Project coordination (tools, timelines, contributors, feedback)
- Innovation and leadership (podcasts, faculty support, AI integration)
You’re a dental hygiene educator with at least 3 years of experience who’s taught real students, explained hard concepts, and seen what works—and what doesn’t.
But more importantly, you’re also:
- Motivating on camera, not monotone or overly scripted
- Organized and detail-driven, with an eye for layout, color, flow, and messaging
- Always asking: “What could make this better?”—even down to the font or button placement
- Comfortable using tools (and learning new ones fast)
- Able to work in a fast-moving, kind, and honest team that shares everything via documentation
This is not just about knowing your content—it’s about being a partner in everything from content to delivery to growth. And yes—this role has the opportunity to grow into full-time.
What You’ll Be Doing
Weekly Responsibilities
- Present or moderate 3–5 live events per week (trivia, webinars, student/faculty sessions)
- Record educational clips or podcast-style solo explanations (e.g., Tetracycline Stain)
- Respond to student content questions with motivation and clarity
- Review and edit slides, scripts, quiz items, and planners
- Work with other educators—give feedback, prep their slides, support quality delivery
Project-Based Work
- Podcast Redesign – Create fun, informative 4–10 min solo episodes
- ProfessorRDH Expansion – Develop CE-style presentations and host monthly faculty roundtables
- New Product Development – Help shape our next digital tools, planners, and micro-courses
- NBDHE Guideline Update Webinars – Lead the 2026 update session, based on previous years created by Claire
- Visual & Teaching Improvements – Apply your eye to polish: Is the color too dull? Is this slide overwhelming?
- Feedback Loops – Help marketing improve messaging; suggest new assets based on what you see in the field
AI, Tech & Learning Innovation
You’ll be helping us use AI practically, not just conceptually:
- Drafting quizzes or scripts with AI assistance
- Using tools like ChatGPT, Descript, or Notion AI to build repeatable education workflows
- Researching new tools and sharing what could work better
- Learning as you go—we’ll train, but we need your initiative to run with it
Tools You’ll Use
You should be comfortable with:
OneDrive, Zoom, Asana, Kahoot, PowerPoint, Canva
You’ll also use: Slack, Descript, ConvertKit, LMS platforms, and others you’ll learn along the way.
