Just Like Family Home Care is looking for dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse who has hospital experience and license with CNO to join our incredible team. Our nurses have a wide range of experiences and come from different parts of the world, but they all have one thing in common: they want to offer our clients the best care possible. We are currently hiring experienced nurses in the ETOBICOKE.

The shifts would consist of settingup seven IV infusion line medications.

We have clients that require care at all hours of the day and night, and in some cases, 24 hours a day. We will help you identify clients that fit your availability and skill level, but we ask for your patience while we discover the ideal match. About Our Client:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a client with complex medical needs. Our client has a unique combination of medical conditions, including Osteogenesis Imperfecta/Ehlers-Danlos Overlap Syndrome, Neuroblastoma, Diabetes, and Epilepsy. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing, experience with complex medical conditions, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to our client, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and observing for any changes in condition
  • Manage our client's complex medication regimen, which includes 7 lines of IV medications administered
  • Monitor and maintain our client's GI system, including managing feeding tubes and other medical devices as needed
  • Administer insulin and monitor blood glucose levels to manage our client's diabetes
  • Recognize and respond to seizure activity, providing emergency care as needed
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of our client's care, including medication administration, vital signs, and any changes in condition

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Nursing experience, preferably with complex medical conditions
  • Experience with IV medication administration and management
  • Strong knowledge of diabetes management, including insulin administration and blood glucose monitoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and position our client as needed
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Experience with GI system management, including feeding tubes and other medical devices
  • Knowledge of Osteogenesis Imperfecta/Ehlers-Danlos Overlap Syndrome and Neuroblastoma
  • A criminal background check and two professional references are necessary.

Requirements to Apply:

  2. Ability to pass Criminal Record check (vulnerable sector)

  3. Current CPR and First aid certification

  4. Willingness to wear PPE per Public Health Guidelines

  5. All up to date immunizations as follows is an asset but not needed immediately:

  • Negative tuberculosis test
  • Diphtheria/tetanus
  • Measles/mumps/rubella
  • Varicella/zoster
  • Hepatitis B

We would additionally appreciate:

  • A valid Driver's License, and access to a reliable vehicle (this may be a necessity, in some cases) but have a reliable means of getting to work.
