Job Summary:
As an Associate at Harvey’s, you play a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience through friendly service, quality food, and a clean and welcoming environment. This position specifically includes closing responsibilities, ensuring that the restaurant is properly shut down and ready for the next day’s operations.
Key Responsibilities: Guest Service & Food Preparation
- Greet guests with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude
- Prepare and assemble food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized front counter, grill, and kitchen area
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed at all times
General Duties
- Work assigned stations such as kitchen (grill/fryer) or garnish line, ensuring speed, accuracy, and adherence to Harvey’s quality standards
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to handle transactions and guest orders
- Restock supplies (cups, condiments, packaging, etc.) throughout the shift
- Monitor product levels and communicate inventory needs to supervisors
- Assist team members during high-volume periods to maintain flow and service levels
Closing Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of kitchen, dining room, and guest areas
- Disassemble, clean, and sanitize equipment (grills, fryers, shake machines, etc.)
- Take out garbage and recycling, and ensure back-of-house areas are neat and secured
- Lock doors, secure assets, and follow all closing checklists and protocols
Qualifications:
- Previous quick-service restaurant experience is an asset but not required
- Availability to work evening and closing shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- Team-oriented and self-motivated with a positive attitude
