We are currently recruiting for a Task Facilitator to join our HeavyAero team in Calgary.
The task facilitator is a vital member of the aviation operations team, responsible for supporting logistics and inventory activities to ensure smooth and efficient workflows. This role involves receiving shipments, picking and preparing orders, kitting, shipping, conducting equipment checks, report preparation, store support, and managing customs documentation. The task facilitator will collaborate with the Stores Team Lead and other departments to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with receiving shipments and verify documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Pick and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Pick up and deliver parts + shipments
- Assemble and organize kits for scheduled maintenance or operational needs
- Conduct shipping processes, including packing, labeling, and customs documentation
- Perform equipment checks to ensure all tools and machinery are safe and operational
- Prepare reports related to inventory, shipments, and logistics operations
- Provide support for store operations, including inventory organization and replenishment
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and aviation industry regulatory guidelines
- Complete tasks as delegated by the chargehand or manager
Qualifications:
- Completion of high school or an equivalent level of education
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, or aviation operations is considered an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiarity with ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must meet the minimum legal age requirement for the position (21 years), in accordance with applicable federal regulations
Working Conditions:
- Work involves exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and noise
- Work involves physical risks such as working around mechanical, chemical and electrical hazards which can be dangerous if not handled correctly
- Must be able to meet the physical tasks of the job (e.g. standing, walking, wearing a respirator, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting, working from heights & confined spaces etc.)
- Must be able to see, hear and effectively communicate with others
- Personal protective equipment, as defined by the Company, will be provided and must be worn
