About the role

Description

Our Client is seeking up to two (2) Intermediate Procurement Specialists to analyze and refine both business and technical requirements, translating them into detailed RFX solicitation documents as needed. They may also contribute to the initial planning stages to determine how projects will be delivered.

Candidate(s) must work onsite in downtown Edmonton during standard business hours (8:15am-4:30pm with a 1 hour lunch break). Must be Canadian Citizen to apply.

Experience Required/Mandatory Skills

  • Relevant post-secondary education in areas of supply chain, procurement, business or a related field, Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates (minimum 2 year diploma).

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work. The ability to work on multiple projects at one time and to prioritize tasks.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • The ability to establish and maintain working relationships with team members, management and vendors.

  • The ability to make well-founded business decisions in a fast-paced and stressful environment.

  • The ability to organize files, documents, etc.

  • Experience with trade agreements, Financial Administration Act, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Public Works Act. (2+ years)

  • Experience independently performing activities related to developing and releasing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Negotiated Requests for Proposals (NFRPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), negotiations, evaluation, supplier feedback, and contract execution. (4+ years)

  • Experience proofing and formatting word documents in a work setting. (4+ years)

  • Relevant experience in a role similar to this. Experience must be applicable to this role. (4+ years)

Nice To Have Skills

  • Completion of SCMP or other equivalent courses and associated certificates.

  • Experience editing documents in Adobe Acrobat Pro, or similar PDF editing software. (2+ years)

  • Experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders. (2+ years)

  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP (2+ years)

  • Experience using SharePoint online (2+ years)

Work Environment

4.5 months with 1 possible 6-month extension

Hourly Rate

Negotiable
