About the role

As an on-site commercial cleaner, you will report to the Senior Supervisor and the Operations Manager. You will ensure all duties are completed up to expectations, your workspace is clean and tidy, equipment is maintained and cleaned that is used in the day-to-day operations and perform other cleaning duties upon request.
Work Responsibilities and duties:
- Dusting, wiping, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
- Sweeping/Mopping/Vacuuming
- Bathroom cleaning, disinfecting, dispenser restocking
- Garbage/ Recycling/ Compost collection
- Kitchen and lunchroom cleaning
- Squeegee window cleaning.

Qualifications needed to succeed:
- A Fantastic attitude
- Attention to detail
- One year of cleaning experience and operating scrubbing machines is an asset.
- Great communication skills with Manager & Supervisor, work colleagues and clients/clients customers.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs
- Clean Criminal Record
Shift Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (5 days per week) at 4:30 PM- 12:30 AM (8 hours shifts)

About Fantastic Cleaning
Fantastic Cleaning Ltd. was founded in 1989 by Waldek and Elizabeth Sikorski in Regina, Saskatchewan where the company experienced substantial growth and gained a well-known reputation for superior service quality and first-rate workforce hiring and retention practices. Since moving operations to British Columba in 1996, the Sikorski’s have continued to pay close attention to quality assurance while striving to maintain strong long-term relationships with both customers and employees. Joined by their eldest son in the late 2000s, Mike spearheaded a company restructuring following his graduation from the Royal Roads University School of Business, successfully implementing streamlined organization and efficiency methods utilizing new technologies in employee tracking, quality assurance software, and other tools and processes learned both from his education as well as his years of experience in the industry.
Mike's younger brother, Philip, joined the team at a managerial level in 2017 after completing his post-secondary education at Uvic, having spent many years working at all aspects of the company's front-line operations.As Vice President of Operations and Human Resources, Philip has applied his experiences in working alongside other FCL staff, supervisors, and managers to create a respectful and supportive workplace while creating conditions that encourage staff to stay with the company long-term, minimizing turnover rates. This combined family and professional approach to the cleaning industry has resulted in the company having steadily grown over the years to employ over 100 people, servicing over 95 buildings on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Many of the company’s clients have employed its services for over 25 years and the company’s staff enjoys the highest wages in the private cleaning industry sector as well as comprehensive medical coverage.
Utilizing new technologies, Fantastic Cleaning provides a quality assurance program that keeps clients informed as to the level of service quality being achieved in their buildings as determined by the company’s Quality Assurance Team.
