Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of cooking techniques and food safety standards. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes that meet our exacting standards and delight our guests.
Compensation:
Hourly wage ranges from $16.50 to $18.50, based on experience. In addition to hourly pay, team members receive gratuities averaging $1.50 to $2.00 per hour.
Kitchen staff also earn additional gratuities from banquet events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and regulations.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation and service.
- Participate in menu development and contribute creative ideas.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role required.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is a plus.
