Oretta King West is looking for a Gelato Cart Server to join our team! The ideal candidate has a minimum of 1 year experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant with excellent customer service skills, passion for hospitality, and a team-oriented environment.

Oretta first opened their doors in 2017 to provide Toronto’s vibrant King West area with an authentic yet modern day Italian culinary experience.
Our menu features a variety of classic Italian dishes with innovative twists on traditional
recipes. The restaurant's design typically reflects a blend of classic Italian elegance with
modern aesthetics. Expect a stylish and inviting atmosphere that enhances the guest dining
experience, with attention to detail in decor and table settings. At Oretta, hospitality is

About You
We are looking for a Gelato Cart Server to join our Front of House team. The ideal candidate has experience in customer service, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can multi-task and bring a positive energy to our space. As a member the team you must be reliable, comfortable working outdoors for extended periods of time, be outgoing and inviting- if you have an outgoing personality, this position is for you! Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced dining establishment with guest interaction is an asset!
- Seasonal position that would end weather depending (likely October) but with opportunity to further grow with the company. Availability with both day and night shifts during the week as well as on weekends and Holidays (fully available on Friday, Saturday and Sundays is a must).
- Smart Serve Certification
- Good understanding of English language is required, knowing Italian is an asset!
Job description
- Reporting to the Manager on duty
- Assisting with Daily Opening or Closing the Gelato Cart (cleaning and maintenance).
- Learning our Gelato menu and capable of communicating them to guests efficiently (allergens)
- Working outdoors throughout the day for a long duration of time, comfortable with being in the heat and working in a high-volume environment, multi-tasking, organizing oneself to allow for a fast and smooth service with guests.
- Approachable personality, scooping gelato according to our spec, and processing payments accordingly
- Bringing a positive attitude and professional, reliable work ethic
- Adhering to Oretta Employee handbook
