Job Description

Techo-Bloc is seeking a reliable and organized Yard Coordinator to support the daily operations of our Vaughan Depot. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for managing the flow of materials in and out of the yard, coordinating forklift operators, and ensuring that all processes run safely, smoothly, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily yard operations including receiving, storing, and shipping of product
• Coordinate and support forklift operators in preparing and loading orders
• Ensure all shipments and documentation follow company policies
• Maintain accurate inventory and perform cycle counts as needed
• Act as the main on-site contact for internal teams and external partners
• Keep the yard clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
• Support product replenishment and general yard upkeep

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Role:

• Certification & Experience:
  • Proven experience operating a forklift in an outdoor yard environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent; 5–7 years of relevant experience preferred
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Highly organized with strong time management and planning abilities
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
  • Detail-oriented with experience in inventory control and counts
  • Professional, customer-focused, and safety-conscious
• Technical Skills:
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), inventory systems, and internet-based tools
  • Solid math skills, including the ability to calculate areas, percentages, and apply basic algebra/geometry
• Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures, and reports

  • Capable of drafting business correspondence and clearly communicating with internal teams, vendors, and customers

This is a physically demanding position. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23kg). Manual dexterity, teamwork, hand-eye co-ordination and a combination of sitting, standing and walking required.
