What You’ll Do
Gyptech is seeking a Machinist to join our team. Your role will involve:
- Setting up and operating machine tools such as manual engine lathes and milling machines
- Machining steel work pieces in accordance with drawings
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and specifications
This position is based out of our manufacturing facility in Oakville. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm with some overtime required.
What You Offer
- Industrial Machinist Trade Certificate (430A or 429A) is an asset.
- Must have experience running manual lathe and milling machines
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong communication skills - Fluent in English
- Ability to read AutoCAD and Inventor prints
- Must work well with others and within a team environment
- Ability to organize work under project deadline constraints
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
