Lighting Showroom Sales Supervisor
(Full Time Hours Guaranteed)

We are looking for a Lighting Showroom Sales Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and well organized, educating clients on products, lighting trends and solution-based possibilities. They will lead our team of sales consultants making E.G. Penner the premiere name in Lighting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the daily operations of a lighting showroom, ensuring smooth sales processes, maintaining a welcoming environment, and managing staff and inventory.
· Assisting customers in selecting the right lighting fixtures for their needs.
· Assist in merchandising, customer service, and reporting on sales performance.
· Managing sales transactions by overseeing the sales process and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
· Working to achieve or exceed sales goals for the showroom.
· Collaboration with team members to improve product knowledge and store sales, while interacting with industry professionals, cultivating relationships for repeat business, and developing a self-sustaining network of clients.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Previous supervisory and sales experience is required. Management skills will include best business practices as well as employee team-building and leadership.
· Experience in the lighting industry and knowledge of lighting products, or related education and experience, is a definite asset.
· Have a strong eye for interior décor with training or experience in interior design.
· Attention to detail, strong time management and organizational skills.
· Provide professional and courteous assistance to customers and work well in a team environment.

President, Ernie Penner, grew up on a family farm in Blumenort, Manitoba. Always looking for something to do and always "planning", Ernie, at the age of 20, along with his father and brother Abe started a farm based logging operation called Penn-Co though which they sold timber and building materials to local farmers.
The business expanded to include more products such as nails and roofing materials, and in 1960, the first Penner Building Centre was born. The first building centre consisted of 6 staff members and was located at the corner of highway #12 and highway #311 near Blumenort.
After 20 years in this location, the building centre moved to expanded facilities at Clearspring Village Mall in Steinbach. In 2000, the building centre expanded to its present location at 200 Park Road West in Steinbach.
