OVERVIEW: Working in a flexible mobile work style arrangement, Alberta Blue Cross® has an opening for an enthusiastic, team- oriented, results-driven Dental Benefits Manager to join our team to support our private plan business.
This role is an expert resource and showcases Alberta Blue Cross’® expertise and value with our management of dental benefits, provides leadership in the development of programs to manage benefits, and assists in developing dental management strategies. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships with clients, develops rapport quickly, has a proven track record of providing insightful recommendations, and for delivering excellent presentations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Advise and support internal and external stakeholders on issues related to the management of the dental benefits. This includes support for presentations and meetings, and the provision of information to increase understanding of Alberta Blue Cross® private plan dental products and programs.
- Analyzes dental benefit analytics to provide dental benefit plan recommendations to senior management and our clients.
- Based on a solid understanding of the industry, the Dental Benefit Manager continually monitors the environment in order to proactively identify issues which could affect Alberta Blue Cross’® dental management strategies.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to senior management and supports the development of services and strategies to ensure Alberta Blue Cross’® dental benefit management capabilities are innovative, competitive and contributes to ensuring plan sustainability.
- Supports our product team in developing health and dental products.
- Research issues thoroughly and develops insightful and workable recommendations.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Alberta Blue Cross® relationships with our key stakeholders.
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:
- The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in dental benefits management or in the insurance industry; and completed dental post-secondary education or possess equivalent knowledge of dental procedures, terminology and nomenclature.
- Demonstrated planning, organizational, and presentation skills.
- A proven track record in leadership roles.
- Proven research skills in the analysis of complex issues.
- Exceptional proficiency in developing and maintaining positive customer relationships over extended periods of time.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven commitment to providing superior levels of customer support.
- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office products.
