About the role

Temporary position for 24 months

As a Regional Oversight Leader within the Desjardins Agent Network (DAN)—a unique business model where Agents operate as independent, self-employed business owners exclusively offering Desjardins products—you play a critical role in supporting and influencing the success of these independent businesses. You work in close partnership with Agents, providing expert guidance and oversight to help them navigate complex, sensitive, and often high-stakes situations. In many respects, you act as a business partner, offering support, coaching, and accountability to ensure Agents meet regulatory, legal, and organizational expectations. This role demands a high level of discretion, emotional intelligence, and professionalism, as you manage confidential matters and lead difficult conversations with clarity and empathy. You also collaborate across functions—including Underwriting, Actuarial, Legal, and Compliance—to support the execution of strategic initiatives. As a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, you help Agents strengthen their operations, share best practices, and align with Desjardins’ broader priorities. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Provide oversight and guidance to independent Agents, ensuring alignment with company policies, regulatory requirements, and legal obligations
  • Analyze and monitor performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement in quality management, helping to safeguard the organization and its clients
  • Lead and contribute to high-impact projects and initiatives, often involving multiple business areas and requiring strategic coordination
  • Advise and collaborate with Agents and internal stakeholders to position, plan, implement, and evaluate initiatives that drive operational excellence
  • Identify, assess, and resolve complex issues, delivering clear, actionable recommendations that support sustainable outcomes
  • Proactively surface oversight and quality concerns and develop tailored action plans to address root causes and mitigate risk
  • Champion continuous improvement by sharing insights, best practices, and fostering a culture of accountability and learning
  • Navigate sensitive and high-pressure situations with professionalism, discretion, and a solutions-oriented mindset
