Position Summary:

The Service Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance activities in the healthcare facility in a specific territory, including promoting and completing on-site preventive maintenance and repair services, maintaining customer satisfaction, inventory control, and documentation. All while achieving all measurable performance goals.

The individual will have a history of independent maintenance of electromechanical equipment over a wide geographic area and should not be discouraged by a demanding and rapidly changing environment. The position requires a high level of multifunctional expertise and excellent time management skills.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide effective preventive maintenance and repair services as well as schedules in healthcare facilities in accordance with established procedures and techniques, using appropriate tools, testing equipment and spare parts.
  • Promote and sell Arjo service products.
  • Provide services to customers in accordance with the terms, conditions, and responsibilities set forth in Arjo's warranties, preventative maintenance, and/or operational policies.
  • Supervise the installation of equipment and/or perform troubleshooting and assembly services upon request and instruct customer personnel in the proper operation and use of equipment.
  • Maintain required expenses and inventory within guidelines and limits in accordance with established procedures, policies, and/or special requests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized corporate vehicle in accordance with procedures, policies and/or special requests.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Relevant Experience:

  • At least three (3) years of field service experience in electromechanical repair and maintenance of a service vehicle.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in customer service dealing with technical and/or service-related issues.
  • At least three (3) years of successful experience in direct sales and/or promotion of service products.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and technical repair skills.
  • Computer literacy;
  • Bilingual-French and English are required.

Position Summary:

The Field Service Technician will work independently performing field service activities at healthcare facilities throughout an assigned geographic territory.

Duties include the promotion and completion of on-site preventative maintenance and repair services, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, controlling inventory, managing data and documentation while achieving all measureable performance targets.

The individual will have a history of independently servicing electromechanical equipment in a large geographic territory and should not be deterred by a fast-paced, demanding environment. The position requires a high level of multi-functional expertise and excellent time management skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and provide preventative maintenance and repair services at healthcare facilities.
  • Effectively promote and sell Arjo service agreements and products.
  • Supervise equipment installation and/or perform uncrate and assembly services
  • Instruct customer's personnel in the operation and proper use of the equipment.
  • Assist sales personnel in marketing all Arjo equipment (joint calls, in-services, sales leads).
  • Maintain an organized parts inventory in a clean Company vehicle
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of field based electromechanical repair and maintenance experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years of face to face technical customer service experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years of sales and/or promotion of service products experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to recommend/promote/sell products and services based on observed client needs.
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and technical repair skills.
  • Computer literacy; familiarity with information technology concepts, personal computers, Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications.
