The Cook is responsible for preparing exceptional, flavorful dishes with precision, consistency, and efficiency, always upholding Pearle’s high culinary standards and food philosophy. This role is integral to exceeding guest expectations and delivering an unforgettable dining experience in an upscale hospitality setting.
Ideal Candidate

Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes, following established recipes and ensuring consistency in portion sizes, presentation, and taste.
- Ensure proper temperatures are maintained through proper plating, timing, storage, and preparation techniques.
- Follow the Chef’s lead to accommodate special requests, dietary restrictions, and allergies, adhering to established guidelines.
- Arrive promptly, in full uniform, and prepared with all necessary tools for the job.
- Maintain and organize your station throughout the shift, prioritizing cleanliness and working efficiently.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency during peak periods while remaining poised and seek out additional tasks during slower periods.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and consistently use proper food handling procedures to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
- Ensure all food products are properly stored, and all kitchen areas remain spotless.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Accept instruction and direction well and use feedback to improve performance.
- Act with integrity and honesty, taking responsibility for decisions and actions.
- Maintain positive relationships within the team unit and with others outside of it, working toward the common goal of success across the property.
- Demonstrate a commitment to developing culinary skills and knowledge, initiating action to accomplish personal and team goals.
- Exhibit a positive, optimistic, and upbeat personality toward guests, suppliers, vendors, and team members, maintaining strong relationships across both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) teams.
What we would like you to bring to the position:
- Food handler certification
- WHMIS Certification (training provided)
- 2+ years of upscale culinary experience is an asset
- Experience in event service is an asset
- Culinary students welcome to apply
- A passion for the culinary arts
- Able to work well independently and as a team
- Teamwork and cooperation
- Organized with a strong focus and commitment to quality
- Must understand written and spoken English
- Hardworking, dependable and reliable
- Excellent knife skills.
- Basic understanding of professional kitchen systems.
