This role is a Monday - Friday position that does support catering for events that may take place some evenings and weekends.

Job Description

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Lead the culinary team on site through the daily food service program (3 meals per day) plus catered events and meetings

  • Lead a strong safety team in a HACCP environment

  • Assist with and oversee cost control and budgeting

  • Support catering from staff/client meetings, high end dinner events, graduation dinners

  • Work with the team to train and develop culinary team

  • Drive a standard and consistency in food and food service delivery

  • Create a safe, inclusive workplace environment

  • Help to assist and build and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship including high levels of client and customer satisfaction and account retention; strong interpersonal relations; and foster a strong safety culture

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Red Seal certification is mandatory

  • Familiar with HACCP and strong safety culture

  • Catering experience

  • Ability to work in high volume and fast paced kitchen environment

  • Proven success in supporting food services operations in a busy, high volume restaurant setting

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in a chef manager role

  • Strong team building and team spirit

  • Cost controls, financial acumen, budgeting and forecasting skills

  • Menu development experience

  • Customer service oriented

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
