Position Overview As a Finance Analyst, you will support multiple projects in accounting and finance-related functions. You will serve as a trusted advisor to operations managers and executive management. This position requires strong analytical skills, a relentless ambition for continuous improvement, and polished technical and soft skills.
District Overview Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. The serve the construction and mining industries and operates in Eastern Canada.
Location This position will be located in our Oakville office.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and effectively communicate financial results of projects to management.
- Earn trust, credibility, and buy-in of processes from the Operations team to create better cohesion and clear communication within the organization.
- Develop and maintain budget and cost reports and earned value analyses.
- Assist in the tracking of project change orders and development of projections.
- Assist project team with the development of project procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement throughout the organization and be a proponent for positive change.
- Effectively use the right data, reports, and tools for risk analysis and benchmarking.
- Assist in client billing and revenue collection.
- Collaboration: Interface with project teams and the finance team to ensure financial accuracy and project success.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of financial/data analysis or public accounting experience.
- Experience in the Construction Industry preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or an equivalent degree.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite required.
- SAP and PowerBI experience preferred.
- Effective communication (both oral and written), organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Collaborative Team Player: thrives in dynamic team environments, consistently contributing to collective goals and driving impactful business outcomes. Demonstrates a strong aptitude for learning and adapting to new challenges and opportunities.

- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
