Are you an engineer or technologist with expertise in electrical systems, mechanical systems, or naval architecture? Do you want to help shape the future of Canada’s maritime defense?

Fleetway Inc. is looking for a talented Intermediate or Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team supporting Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy and the Halifax Class Design Agent contracts. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the Royal Canadian Navy is “ready to help, ready to lead, and ready to fight.”

What you'll do

Develop technical studies, electrical drawings, and system specifications for naval and commercial vessels

Conduct equipment selection and integration across electrical systems

Perform power and communication systems analyses, including voltage drop and short-circuit current calculations

Write clear, detailed reports to support engineering recommendations and decision-making

Integrate engineering changes into existing ship designs while maintaining regulatory compliance and system integrity

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to execute systems integration projects

What You Bring

A degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation

5+ years of hands-on experience in 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and engineering design/integration projects

Proficiency with Microstation and/or AutoCAD for technical drawing and modeling

Skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite , including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and departments

Excellent organizational abilities with a detail-oriented mindset

Experience in Naval Warship design or marine defense projects is considered a strong asset
