Shift Hours: Monday to Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm

SUMMARY

The Workforce Management (WFM) Specialist plays a key behind-the-scenes role in supporting and maintaining the Dayforce HCM system. This role focuses on configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing workforce management features such as scheduling, time and attendance, job assignments, and compliance rules. The ideal candidate has a strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of Dayforce modules—particularly those related to WFM.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configure and maintain WFM-related settings in Dayforce (e.g., scheduling patterns, time collection rules, pay policies, job assignments).
  • Support system updates and releases by testing and validating WFM functionality.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and identify root causes in collaboration with HR, Payroll, and Operations teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure WFM configurations align with business rules and compliance requirements.
  • Provide behind-the-scenes support for time tracking, approvals, and scheduling workflows.
  • Monitor and resolve data discrepancies in time and attendance records.
  • Participate in WFM-related projects, such as new site rollouts, policy updates, or automation improvements.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to support workforce planning and audit activities.
  • Document configurations, processes, and system changes in a clear and organized manner.
  • Liaise with Ceridian support when needed to escalate and resolve technical issues.
  • Facilitate training sessions on the HCM application for the Operations team.
  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience working with Dayforce HCM, specifically within Workforce Management modules.
  • Strong understanding of time and attendance, scheduling, and labour compliance.
  • Experience in configuring rules, pay codes, and workflows within Dayforce.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable with data validation and reporting.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in HR, Payroll, or Operations support is an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Hourly position based on 40-hours per week.
  • Hours may vary based on the needs of the business.
