Position: Client & Contractor Relations Coordinator
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Employment Type: Part-time (20-30 hours per week) (Potential for full time)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between our organization, clients, and independent contractors
  • Coordinate and maintain relationships with schools, teachers, and educational stakeholders
  • Manage scheduling and logistics across multiple teams
  • Recruitment and onboarding of contractors, handle performance management and, when necessary, terminations
  • Provide guidance and support to contractors to foster a positive and productive work culture
  • Collaborate with team members while also being able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Navigate and resolve challenges quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure
  • Utilize technology tools to streamline processes and ensure effective communication
  • Support other operational areas as needed e.g. answer phones, book school programs, support supplies team, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in client and contractor relations, ideally in an education-focused or service-based setting
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring abilities—must be personable, professional, and approachable
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing needs
  • High proficiency in technology tools and the ability to quickly learn internal business applications and software
  • Strong decision-making skills and comfort in addressing difficult personnel decisions when needed
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Teacher's Pet Educational Services is the result of a vision that Ruth Pabst, B.Ed. had while teaching. Wishing there was a way to support teachers in the classroom and students with varying learning needs, Ruth started Teacher's Pet in September, 2007 with a focus on Private Tutoring, The following September, the In-School Field Trip division was launched. Both divisions experienced exponential growth and then in September, 2010, Teacher's Pet Educational Services expanded to Calgary. This company, borne from a desire to provide extraordinary educational experiences, continues to have requests for its services throughout Canada. 2016 marks a banner year for Teacher's Pet Educational Services as it celebrates 10 years of supporting teachers and students. TPET continues to expand its services within the Private Tutoring and In-School Field Trip division as well as its TPET Store which offers Classroom Projects and comprehensive Teacher Resources for teachers to use in their classrooms. Over 50 dedicated professionals work with Teacher's Pet to provide the highest standard of educational services available.
