About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AR and Accounting Coordinator to support our finance and operations team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in bookkeeping and collections, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to business efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Collections
- Follow up on receivables via phone, mail, and email
- Professionally handle customer inquiries and disputes
- Provide detailed account reconciliations and customer statements
Bookkeeping
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile accounts and bank statements
- Handle inter-company account reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closings
Operations Support
- Maintain up-to-date supplier price lists
- Investigate price variances
- Ensure selling prices are approved and accurately updated in the system
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping and collections experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (or similar ERP) is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment
Working Conditions
- May occasionally be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., office supplies, boxes)
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer
- Comfortable working in a screen-based environment
- Capable of analytical thinking and problem-solving under pressure
