Overview We are seeking a skilled Supplier Readiness Specialist to support a leading aerospace component manufacturing facility in Calgary. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in supply chain operations, manufacturing engineering, and supplier readiness in a high-precision production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and validate supplier readiness for aerospace component production
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure capacity, capability, and quality expectations are met prior to production launch
- Identify and mitigate risks within the supply base to avoid disruptions
- Conduct supplier audits, readiness reviews, and performance monitoring
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, quality, and production teams
- Develop and track action plans to ensure supplier timelines and deliverables are aligned with project requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing engineering within an industrial or aerospace setting
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and supplier performance management
- Experience working directly with suppliers to resolve readiness or capacity challenges
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand product specifications
- Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills
Preferred
- Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing industries
- Familiarity with supplier onboarding and development processes
Additional Details
- Position is based onsite at the client’s Calgary facility
- Full-time hours (day shift), contract role
- Compensation: $45–$55/hour depending on experience
