About the role

Make a Difference Every Day in Patient Care — Join Our Team as a Combined Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist and Medical Radiology Technologist!

Caring for patients means more than producing clear images. It means having the time to be precise and the support to provide a compassionate diagnostic journey. With collaborative teams, reliable equipment, structured workflows, and opportunities for continuous learning, you’ll have everything you need to make a meaningful impact every day.

As a Medical Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Technologist) and Magnetic Resonanance Imaging Technologist (MRI Technologist), you’ll contribute across modalities while maintaining the care and accuracy each exam deserves. About 60 percent of your time will be spent on X-Ray and 40 percent on MRI. By applying consistency, attentiveness, and technical precision, you’ll make a difference everyday by delivering clarity through care.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform X-Ray and MRI Exams: Conduct standardized and complex imaging under the direction of Radiologists and referring Physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide Compassionate Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.
  • Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver a seamless and thoughtful experience.
  • Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills, build new competencies, and cross-train in additional modalities such as Bone Mineral Density, Mammography, or specialized procedures in Fluoroscopy.
  • Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track X-ray and MRI equipment performance, document findings, and resolve basic issues.
  • Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Prepare and stock exam rooms for patient exams and procedures; report low inventory as needed.
  • Contribute to Team Development: Assist with the training of new team members and students.

What We’re Looking For

  • Professional Membership: Active registration (or eligibility) with CAMRT & ACMDTT or CSCLXT & ACCLXT.
  • X-Ray and MRI Experience: Clinical competency with an interest in refining and expanding skills.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Exposure to fluoroscopy, mammography, bone mineral density, interventional x-ray procedures, or CT, is an asset.
  • Certifications: Venipuncture Certification or Initiation of Intravenous Therapy Certificate, and current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
  • Diagnostic Imaging Excellence: Proven ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining a strong focus on patient care.
  • Collaboration & Independence: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Continuous Learning: A commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance skills and expertise.
  • A Compassionate Approach: A history of empathetic care, collaboration, adaptability, and flexibility.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay: Earn competition compensation, with opportunities to maximize your income through evening and weekend shifts, industry-leading shift premiums, and for expanding your skillset.
  • Generous Time Off: Vacation, personal days, sick leave, and paid time off for your birthday to help you recharge and balance life.
  • Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision benefits, plus access to our Employee & Family Assistance Program for additional resources.
  • Learning & Development: Access to specialized training opportunities (including Mammography), along with an annual education allowance to enhance your professional growth.
  • Comprehensive Onboarding: Hands-on structured training designed to ensure a smooth transition into your role.
  • Retirement Savings: A matching RRSP/TFSA plan to help secure your financial future.
  • Onsite Parking: Convenient access to make your commute easier.
  • Coverage for Annual Memberships & Insurance: Funding available for CAMRT and ACMDTT memberships, or CSCLXT and ACCLXT, including insurance coverage.
  • Income Protection: Short-term and long-term disability coverage providing peace of mind.
  • Life Insurance: Coverage to protect you and your loved ones.
