About the role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and managing new business
opportunities .This role is integral to driving revenue growth by promoting Cryopak Industries' range of
temperature-controlled packaging solutions and services across key markets, including pharmaceutical
and food logistics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong "hunter" and entrepreneurial mentality,
relentless focus on new client acquisition, and the ability to nurture long-term partnerships.
- New Business Development:
- Actively prospect and identify new business opportunities in target industries and markets.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective clients through networking, research, and cold
outreach.
- Develop tailored proposals and solutions that address customer challenges and align with
Cryopak's product offerings.
- Account Management:
- Manage acquired accounts
- Work with Operations to plan and ensure smooth onboarding and continuous customer
satisfaction
- Strategic Sales Planning:
- Collaborate with internal teams to create and execute strategic sales plans that align with
company objectives.
- Provide market feedback to inform product development, pricing strategies, and competitive
positioning.
- Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs.
- Market Expertise:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands.
- Understand the regulatory and logistical complexities of temperature-controlled packaging and
cold chain solutions.
- Reporting & Forecasting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions using CRM tools (e.g.,
Salesforce).
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, preferred but not necessary
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in business development, account management, or sales in related industries (e.g., cold chain logistics,packaging, or life sciences).
- A track record of successful business development in related fields (packaging supplies into Pharmaceutical or Laboratory companies, Pharmaceutical 3PL sales, Meal kit companies, etc)
- Strong "hunter" mentality with the ability to proactively identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to travel for client meetings,industry events, and sales activities.
