Who you are

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
• Proven ownership of end-to-end data engineering projects
• Deep expertise in data modeling, including fact/dim tables, SCD2, and medallion/layered architectures
• Advanced SQL skills, including window functions, CTEs, and complex joins
• Proficient in Python (OOP, package management, testing) and Spark (performance tuning, delta operations, Spark UI)
• Experienced with Databricks, including streaming, Unity Catalog, and workspace administration
• Hands-on experience with API and S3 streaming ingestion (Kafka, Debezium, Hive partitioning)
• Working knowledge of DBT for data transformation and modeling
• Familiarity with financial and accounting datasets
• Understanding of compliance and security standards like SOC2
• Strong ability to translate technical processes for non-technical audiences
• Capable of working independently and mentoring junior engineers

What the job involves

• We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer who’s passionate about building data infrastructure that drives business outcomes
• You’ll develop pipelines, data models, and dashboards that power decision-making across teams
• This is a unique opportunity to own end-to-end projects and shape how data supports the business
• You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and business teams, bringing strong Python and SQL skills, plus experience with Databricks, Airflow, DBT, and Redshift

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources
• Build and maintain data models using dimensional data modeling techniques
• Create insightful reports and dashboards to support business performance analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Support our data architecture transformation & migration efforts
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues in a timely manner
• Optimize query performance and implement best practices
• Partner with data scientists and analysts to support their data needs
• Drive continuous improvement of data processes through automation and innovation
