The Regional VP, Capital Raising is a key player towards increasing sales, market penetration and market share in BC. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, National Sales, this role provides strategic direction to the assigned Business Development Manager (inside sales) and works collaboratively to achieve significant sales targets.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Territory Management: Solicit and receive orders for the purchase and sale of securities offered on a wholesale basis to financial advisors within the defined Sales Territory.
- Client Service: Address the related needs of financial advisors, ensuring orders are solicited from pre-approved investment advisers, complying with suitability rules and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Sales Activities: Conduct sales activities, including specific sales meetings, phone conversations, and email correspondence with clients and prospects within the Sales Territory.
- Target Achievement: Meet established weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales activity targets.
- Reporting and CRM: Submit weekly activity reports to the Managing Director, National Sales and record sales activities using client relationship management software.
- Fund Approval: Assist in securing fund approval at various firms as needed.
- Business Planning: Collaborate with the Managing Director, National Sales and Business Development Manager to execute an annual territory business plan focused on long-term advisor relationships and driving sales results.
- Market Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Trez funds, market trends, advisor trends, and investor trends.
- Marketing Initiatives: Develop and implement an annual business plan with marketing initiatives, sales penetration goals, and a territory coverage plan.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5-7 years of sales experience in the financial services industry is an asset.
- Strong network of CIRO IIROC advisors and dealers
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course is required; CIM, CFA, CFP, and MBA are assets.
- Registration as a Dealing Representative is required, which means the successful Completion of the Exempt Market Proficiency course through the CSI or other courses eligible to meet the proficiency requirements.

- Superior interpersonal, influencing, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize a diverse workload.
- High degree of personal and professional integrity, ethical, and credible.
- Ability to manage challenging workloads in an entrepreneurial environment and deliver results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with Salesforce.
