Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Infrastructure Support Specialist to support our Information Services team. This is a full-time opportunity and will report to the Manager, Infrastructure and Support Services.

The selected candidate will provide guidance and coordinate Infrastructure Operations, Major Incidents, Disaster Recovery and IS Business Continuity. They will be responsible for leading cross-functional meetings to ensure operational and environmental stability.

What You’ll be Doing: Operational Stability:

  • Guide cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment across IS teams
  • Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness – patching, monitoring, alerts, etc
  • Guide resolution of service impacting issues that need collaboration across teams
  • Monthly review of Infrastructure dashboards and lead review meetings with Infrastructure Team
  • Coordinate evidence gathering to support various audits
  • Coordinate infrastructure requirements supporting GISG
  • Maintain and publish support contact lists
  • Review and update Infrastructure SOP’s and Policies
  • Coordinate infrastructure efforts for audits and GISG evidence gathering
  • Administer contract lifecycle; renewals, budgeting, software license keys - ensuring no service disruptions

Major Incident Management:

  • Ownership of the Major Incident Process ensuring effectiveness, identification of kaizen opportunities, training and education on the process
  • Lead and coordinate restoration of service impacting events - SEV1/2
  • Lead and conduct Post Incident Reviews (PIR) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

Disaster Recovery and IS Business Continuity Plan:

  • Ownership of the DR program; planning, coordination, execution, results review
  • Drive improvements, effectiveness, and innovation to current IS architecture
  • Lead, coordinate, and maintain IS BCP
  • Drive modernization and relevance to the current IS landscape

Change management:

  • Provide leadership on policy compliance and process improvements
  • Participate and provide leadership in CAB meetings and eCAB
  • Oversee infrastructure changes to ensure policy compliance, proper scheduling, testing & verification, backout
  • Provide backup coverage for CAB/eCAB meetings

Environment Alignment:

  • Lead cross-functional team meetings with key personnel to ensure project alignment across DEV/UAT/PROD environments
  • Lead and kaizen environment refresh strategies
  • Maintain and socialize the landscape planning documentation

Project Coordination and Support:

  • Coordinate infrastructure projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Perform Infrastructure Representatives duties on IS projects as assigned
  • Oversee transition and knowledge transfer from project to steady state
  • Investigate new requests, document requirements and present to manager – Demand Management

What You’ll Bring:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in Information Technology
  • 8+ years IT related experience
  • Strong customer service
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with proven ability to research
  • Full knowledge of ITIL practices
  • Excellent crisis management skills
  • Advance knowledge of ServiceNow
  • Excellent aptitude for teamwork; ability to constructively address issues and facilitate their timely resolution
  • Ability to work within a self-directed work environment with minimal supervision with a high degree of self-motivation
  • Demonstrates high aptitude for project and process and management skills
  • Manage changing priorities and multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication as well as presentation skills
  • Works effectively with cross functional teams as well as personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
  • Knowledge of various Infrastructure technologies and terminology
