As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum of two years' experience within the last five years of Home Care experience, although skills and experience relevant to nursing practice in community sector will be considered. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks and may involve physical exertion not limited to climbing stairs, walking outside, lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and carrying which may involve visits to client homes that are not ideal.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in providing case management services with knowledge of Meditech PCS and service authorizations. Experience in Home Parenteral Therapy (HPT), wounds, lower limb assessments, skin and ostomy care, palliative support and client teaching. Aware of Continuing Care Health Service Standards and the ability to incorporate these standards in your practice.
