Responsibilities Your Role: Reporting to the VP Sales and Marketing – Canada, The Director of Sales FDM-Canada is responsible for overseeing and developing sales plans and defining our business strategy for RCP Canada in the Food, Drug and Mass Channel.

- Manage accounts for all FDM channel customers including Loblaws, Sobeys, Metro and Walmart.
- Drive the development and implementation of annual business plans (and contingencies) and recommend ongoing modifications to achieve the approved volume, share, spending, and profit objectives of RCP Canada.
- Prepare strategic plans and contingencies for executive review and approval, as well as guide the long-term business planning/development function.
- Oversee the management of sales communications and promotional strategies to ensure consistency on their implementation and execution.
- Analyze the effectiveness of sales plans by developing control mechanisms to measure returns, etc.
- Analyze and supervise the analysis of the businesses on a continuous basis to ensure that plans/programs are appropriate to evolving business needs and implement strategic/tactical changes as appropriate.
- Oversee the development and execution of consumer and trade promotion programs to ensure that established objectives are met.
- Oversee pricing actions with the customers while providing key input to internal stakeholders to ensure right decisions are made to ensure effective pricing execution.
- Manage programs productively through internal staff groups to ensure sound execution of all programs and appropriate financial management.
- Identify and initiate business building, cost savings, and new product improvement opportunities and manage the activities necessary for implementation.
- Work with domestic and foreign suppliers on new product development, product adaptation, and graphics changes and prepare launch materials for execution by field sales.
- Lead and develop two sales leads (National Account Manager WM, LCL, Senior Key Account Manager, regional grocery, Sobeys & Metro).
- Manage the relationship and hold accountability for our sales broker ASM, ensuring active communication on delivering against key objectives.
- Work seamlessly with key cross functions – Marketing, PSO, Finance.
- Lead/own the sales forecast process with sales team and demand planning.
- Lead the S&OP process for the sales function.
- Support the Sales Planning Manager and Sales Account Managers on POS reporting and communication.

Qualifications We need you to have:
- BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field.
- 10+ years of related professional and progressive Sales experience in the CPG industry.
- Prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching and mentoring a diverse and creative staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
- Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills.
- Solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
- Ability to provide insight and input into strategic decision making and operations as it relates to business development.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
- Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
- Skilled negotiator with ability to manage multiple key customer negotiations.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Ability to travel approximately 10%.
Icing On The Cake
- MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
- Foreign language skills a plus, ideally French.

Posted Salary Range CAD $180,000.00 - CAD $195,000.00 /A
