Position Title: Water Truck Labourer
Employment Type: Full-Time (Seasonal with Year-Round Opportunities in snow)
Position Summary
We are currently seeking a hardworking and reliable Water Truck Labourer to support our Water Truck Driver on various job sites. This role involves assisting with water delivery operations, equipment handling, loading/unloading, and maintaining safe work environments. This is an overnight position requiring physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Water Truck Driver with daily operations
- Help load and unload water and related equipment at job sites
- Secure tools and cargo to ensure safe transportation
- Monitor water flow and assist with hose connections and disconnections
- Perform safety checks on equipment and report any concerns
- Follow proper spill containment and response procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and truck
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures
- Support with basic paperwork or logging activities when needed
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid Class G Driver’s License preferred but not required
- Previous labour or outdoor work experience an asset
- Able to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic equipment
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and teamwork
- Willingness to work overnight shifts, with potential for overtime and weekend work
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Work Conditions
- Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Evening and overnight shifts required
- Physical labour including lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Seasonal work from spring through fall, with potential for transition into winter duties
