Reporting to the Site Lead, Director Epic Implementation the Clinical Application Analyst is responsible for the design, configuration, build, testing, and support through the transition of our ERH from Meditech to Epic. This role is part of the HIS project structure, with key responsibilities to design, deliver and sustain our systems to address both clinical and non-clinical needs, ensuring the HIS is utilized effectively and efficiently in patient care.
Duties:
Software Implementation and Workflow Optimization:
- Participate in workflow design, analysis, build, testing, and maintenance tasks associated with Epic software.
- Provide clinical expertise on medication management best practices and ensure that solutions developed in Epic are created with clinical considerations in mind.
- Analyze, review, and test new functionality in Epic software releases.
- Work closely with Atlas Alliance and MH-HIS Cluster teams as the operational subject matter expert to help create the future state workflows by participating in site visits, working group meetings, validation sessions, and other related meetings.
- Create and maintain documentation to build a repository of key configuration decisions and associated build.
- Work closely with the HIS team members to identify, document, and troubleshoot issues to find creative resolutions.
Leadership:
- Leading and coordinating the implementation of the EMR system in clinical settings, ensuring all departments and stakeholders are involve and that timelines are met.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Facilitate and participate in meetings to discuss deliverables, issues, end-user concerns and upcoming milestones.
- Partner with the Atlas Alliance team to maintain communication and help the partnership achieve the hospital’s operational need.
Process Monitoring & Feedback
- Monitor processes, procedures and workflows through feedback communication pathways.
- Review feedback from all sources to inform possible adaptations to the process or organization of the project team.
Other Duties:
- Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal.

- Demonstrate commitment to health equity, values diversity and contributes to an inclusive working environment.
Qualifications:
- 4 Year Post-secondary degree in a Healthcare Profession
- Registered with a Professional or Clinical Association or College.
- Minimum five (3) years of experience in a clinical position within a hospital setting
- Ability to learn new software and systems, demonstrating technical aptitude
- Leadership – Lead administration team and delegate tasks
- Process conceptualization and procedure development
- Communication – Directing administration team and communicating processes to staff
- Organization – Coordinate promotion, projects, and events
- Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, & Sharepoint
- English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, comprehension, reading & writing. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
Salary Range:
$47.20 to $54.72 per hour
