The After School Program Assistant works part-time at our After School Program with children in Kindergarten – Grade 8. The program runs Monday – Friday from 3:00-6:00pm. Only Christian applicants who feel this position matches their skills and abilities, as well as their schedule need apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in an After School Program for school-age children based on the guidelines provided
• Supervise children to protect their safety and personal well-being at all times while in the program
• Assist and support children to complete homework and other activities
• Assist in leading a physical activity program
• Work as part of a team
• Communicate with parents/caregivers and After School Care Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working with school-age children in a recreation or academic setting
• Experience working with children with special needs an asset
• Excellent communication skills
• Current first aid certificate an asset
• Police check for vulnerable sector will be required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Work Location: In person
