Licensed Millwright / Apprentice Level 4 and 5
About the role
Responsibilities:
- Ensure operation of mechanical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting problems on conveyors, machinery, with the use of manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, etc.
- Install new machines and equipment.
- Required to utilize documentation in CMMS.
- Repair and replace as necessary, pumps, valves, motors, etc.
- Focus on minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance and good troubleshooting techniques.
- Inform production workers of routine mechanical preventive maintenance plans.
- Prepare maintenance reports and make recommendations as necessary for improvements.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending education workshops.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain documentation as required.
- Perform quality checks on all work performed.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and other duties as assigned.
Shift: Mon to Friday 40 hrs and/or 42 hrs 4/4 shift (Continental)
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License - 433A
- Must be able to read mechanical drawings
- Red Seal Journeyman certification
- Minimum 2–3-year previous experience in a manufacturing industry
- Strong Troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with all employees
- Exposure with mechanical devices, pneumatic controls and welding/cutting
- Welding experience preferred (stainless steel pipe, guard repairs, etc.)
