Key Purpose Statement

As Japan’s number 1 beer with a strong ambition to grow in Canada, the Brand Manager for Asahi Super Dry is responsible with the the Senior Marketing Manager, Global Brands to spearhead the development of a comprehensive brand strategy that fuses global brand standards with localized insights. Your vision will guide every aspect of the brand’s journey - from implementation of innovative campaigns to adapting messaging that appeals to diverse Canadian audiences. As the custodian of the brand, you will serve as a key liaison between multiple internal teams including sales, trade marketing, finance, and the supply chain ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints to maintain brand integrity.

We have big ambitions for Asahi Super Dry in Canada and are looking for someone with the drive and experience to take the brand to the next stage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The annual planning process for the Asahi Super Dry brand
  • Manage and optimize the marketing mix including key channels such as media, experiential & PR
  • Development of trade marketing programs and toolkits and works closely with the Trade Marketing team to oversee execution
  • Manage and co-ordinate all external partners developing positive working relationships helping to deliver standout executions and meeting strategic brand objectives
  • Ensure that all activity and brand related components of the marketing plan is managed against budgets
  • Work closely with Sales and Trade Marketing teams to grow the performance of the brand across On & Off Trade channels
  • Review and adapt plans to meet commercial and brand performance targets
  • Monitor and analyze consumer trends and understand the impact on execution

KEY CAPABILITIES REQUIRED

  • University degree in Marketing or related field preferred
  • Bilingual (French & English) candidates preferred
  • 3-5 years brand management experience in the field of FMCG/alcoholic beverages with demonstrated success in managing National brands.
  • Previous beverages experience is an asset
  • Self-sufficient, independently driven and a keen problem solver
  • Proven experience of managing complex marketing projects through to successful completion.
  • Experience working in developing successful media and communications plans within Canada
  • Travel within Canada and some international travel required
  • Based in Toronto (65 Heward Avenue)
