Role Overview

SoftwareReviews (A Division of Info-Tech Research Group) is looking for a creative, driven, and organized individual to join the Data Operations team as a Vendor Research Manager. This role will build relationships with the software vendor community and manage campaigns to assist in sourcing reviews from end-users. The role will help improve the quality of our data across the platform and amount of data we can provide to our software vendors, Info-Tech member base and end-user communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage software providers to participate in upcoming market reports primarily through collecting feedback from their customers using the SoftwareReviews
  • Identify and drive data collection within your assigned territory, consisting of software and technology providers, using various outreach methods (ie. email, phone, social etc.)
  • Manage data collection campaigns end-to-end; providing updates on results and problem-solving customer issues submitting through the SoftwareReviews platform
  • Build relationships with software providers to develop and grow opportunities to collect data within your territory.
  • Partner with your members to understand their needs to match them to our services and ensure they receive value through regular feedback.
  • Uncover sales opportunities within your assigned territory and partner with our Sales team to transition the leads
  • Work with Info-Tech analysts to facilitate vendor briefings so they can stay up to date on the latest technology

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • 2-5 years account management, customer success, sales or customer service experience
  • Experience selling or speaking to the executive level, experience working with software providers or marketing leaders is an asset.

  • Goal Setting: Sets own goals around conversations that demonstrates a commitment to professional development; takes ownership of own performance; manage goal attainment; able to set reasonable goals; monitor progress and communicate/ask for help when off pace for goal attainment.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess prospect/client needs and provide actionable, outcome-based advice to support the achievement of business results.
  • Business acumen: Uses knowledge of the business, technology & marketing environment and to engage customers.
  • Sense of Urgency: Has the ability to drive pace in everything they do; ruthlessly efficient and diligent in day-to-day task planning.
