Job Title: Inside Sales Representative
Department: Customer Service
Location: Calgary Paper Division
SCOPE OF POSITION
The Inside Sales Rep reports to the Customer Service Manager, Calgary Paper Division, and is responsible for liaising with sales representatives and agents concerning all aspects of account management, problem solving, technical support, scheduling etc. The incumbent will commence in a supportive role in Customer Service to learn the business prior to taking over the position. Incumbent must be able to travel and work independently.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES
Within the limits of applicable policies, procedures and established plans, he/she has authority to take action and make decisions. The assignment of work or delegation or responsibility does not relinquish responsibility for results. Performance will be measured by the extent to which the responsibilities have been fulfilled.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES
- Deal with outside agents as assigned.
- Prepare ECO’s as required.
- Prepare prices, costing and price lists as required.
- Manage trial order status.
- Manage customer complaints.
- Problem solve for outside Sales Reps and Sales Manager.
- Organize technical support when required.
- Maintain a professional relationship with customers. Develop strong relationships with key contacts at customers.
- Understand and follow food safety and quality procedures
- Performs all functions of a Customer Service Representative
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Work closely with the Sales Manager as directed.
- Consult, participate and cooperate with team members in Engineering, Production, Scheduling, Sales, and Finance on matters relating to his/her responsibilities and duties.
- Occasional contact with General Manager
FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Regular use of computers, telephones and misc. office equipment.
- Must be able to manage complex tasks.
- Read and understand the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Understand and follow the food, safety, and quality procedures.
- Read, understand and follow Quality System Procedures (QSP).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Periods of light physical effort.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Office and plant
- Flexible hours
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education & Experience
- Post Secondary Degree/Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of related experience an asset
SKILLS
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Planning and organizational skills.
- Must be able to meet target dates, prioritize and practice excellent time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Should have considerable skills in problem solving, administration, planning, communication, decision making and follow up.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Professional verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills

The Plastics Division has 8 production locations, again with the broadest possible selection of structures and many with unique applications. Cross selling our products allows us to develop unique product and supply arrangements.
