- Small & growing family practice, babies to elderly (no obs), office space shared w/ 5 other docs & 1 NP, as well as LPN who does injections, ear flushes, suture removals & more. Treatment room for procedures.
- 2 Lg exam rooms, one also my office, & each equipped w/ computer desktop & printer; EMR is MedAccess; WIFI in bldg. 4 MOA's, billing clerk.
- Free parking behind our building, 1 of 3 town pharmacies below us.
- Across street is town's long term care residence (my 12 pts managed by fax mostly), as well as our own small ER/urgent care (not UPCC) open 7/24/365 from 8-8 (unless short-staffed). Lab, xray, BMD also housed there.
- Accommodation available in Chemainus (4 min. drive from clinic) if needed in host doc's waterfront home; alternative available in Maple Bay as well (20 min. drive from clinic).
Hours of Work:
- clinic open 830--1600, hours of practice flexible within this time; office closes for lunch 1130--1230 daily; no after-hours/evenings
Remuneration:
- Daily rate of $950 through BC rural locum program (locumsruralbc.ca); shadow billing done as FFS
Benefits:
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including (subject to change):
- Fee Premium: 4.20%
