Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized, reliable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator & Laundromat Assistant. This dual-role position is crucial to our operations, responsible for ensuring seamless pickup and delivery services for our commercial laundry customers while also providing excellent service to our walk-in clientele and maintaining the overall cleanliness and efficiency of the laundromat.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Commercial Customer Coordination (Approx. 60% of role):
- Pickup & Delivery Management: Oversee and coordinate the scheduling, routing, and execution of all commercial laundry pickups and deliveries in Cochrane and surrounding areas.
- Commercial Customer Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for commercial clients regarding their laundry needs, schedules, and any inquiries or special requests.
- Processing Oversight: Work closely with our in-house laundry team to ensure commercial orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and according to client specifications.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of commercial orders, delivery schedules, and client communications.
- Route Optimization: Continuously seek ways to optimize delivery routes for efficiency and timely service.
Laundromat Operations & Customer Service (Approx. 40% of role):
- Wash & Fold Service: Perform professional wash and fold services for walk-in customers, ensuring high-quality results.
- Customer Assistance: Provide friendly and helpful service to all walk-in customers, assisting with machine operation, answering questions, and resolving minor issues.
- Facility Maintenance: Regularly clean and tidy the laundromat, including machines, floors, countertops, and customer areas, to maintain a welcoming and hygienic environment.
- Machine Operation: Operate and monitor industrial and commercial washing and drying machines.
- Transaction Handling: Process payments for services (cash, debit, credit) accurately.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and report on laundry supply levels.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a coordination, logistics, customer service, or laundromat environment is a strong asset.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Customer Service: A positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry laundry bags (up to 25 kg/50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfort with basic computer applications for scheduling and record-keeping.
- Driver's License: Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record (essential for commercial deliveries).
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
