Subcontracts Administrator (Temporary 18 Months) Victoria, BC Expected Salary $57,508 to $86,262

In this role, you will:
Contract Administration:
- Support the Supplier Relationship Management Program as directed by Manager of Subcontracts. Conduct subcontractor on-site meetings
- Work closely with the Project Management Team to ensure the subcontractor is compliant with security requirements, working within the SOW and staying on schedule
- Resolve Subcontractor issues through continuous improvement approach
- Manage supplier performance to cost, delivery/schedule, quality, technical and contractual requirements
- Provide cost savings through negotiations to ensure that we are providing our customers with best value
- Grow supplier relationships to ensure continued or improved performance levels are achieved
- Review and process supplier’s invoices and maintain change order requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Responsible for reporting and achieving program milestones including cost, schedule and quality
Contract Formation:
- Work in collaboration with Project Managers to develop Work Packages, Statements of Work (SOW) with Project and managing workflows through the approval process
- Analyse supplier proposals, utilize source selection techniques (best value, total cost of ownership, etc.), establish negotiation and identify supplier risks/opportunities
- Provide updates for weekly Subcontract meetings
- Support Commercial Team to ensure complete flow down of Prime Contract requirements into appropriate Subcontract terms and conditions
- Ensure all subcontracts meet relevant Babcock Canada’s Commercial and Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Work closely with the Strategic Procurement Team to support supply chain strategies and Category Management
- Source and negotiate target rates and award Subcontracts for Technical Services in Marine, Aviation and Nuclear Sectors
- Work closely with export compliance personnel to ensure subcontractor compliance with all relevant export regulations.
The ideal candidate brings:
- 3+ years’ experience/education (or combination) in in contract administration
- Ability to use MS Project and the suite of MS Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in Marine, Aviation, Nuclear, Defence or Public Works projects in an asset
- Knowledge of commercial business practices and experience working with third party suppliers
- IACCM, APICS, CPSM, CSCP, SCMA or other Certification is an asset
- Eligibility for Canadian Secret Security, Controlled Goods, and ITAR Clearances
