Job Summary
Meridia Recruitment has partnered with Ti Foods a leading distributor of Asian grocery items to the Canadian marketplace, providing a vehicle and distribution channels to the brands you love. Under the direction of the Director Ethnic Sales and Marketing, the Sales Representative is responsible for business development and account management of major grocers. The Sales Representative will maintain a strong funnel of business development prospects converting prospects to sales. They will also maintain an existing sales funnel of >$1M, providing positive client interactions and responsiveness through in-person, telephone and email communication. The Sales Representative with be a collaborative team member partnering with internal team members to further develop the western region.
The Sales Representative must possess strong communication and writing skills in Mandarin, Cantonese and English and be able to convert customers through knowledge of the industry, product and quality interactions.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated written and verbal skills in Mandarin, Cantonese and English
- At least 1 year of success selling consumer products with strong preference for grocery.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to establish positive and productive working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience building a sales funnel and opening new accounts leading to sales
- Experience in account management and growth of existing accounts
- Experience with appropriate expectation setting and follow through, completing tasks on time.
- Collaborative in a remote team environment while being personally motivated.
- G Driver’s License with Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Experience with SAP is considered an asset.
