About the role
Do you enjoy troubleshooting and solving mechanical challenges? If so, we’d love to have you join our team as a Red Seal Mechanic in our Whitehorse, YT location, where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet of vehicles and trailers, and small engines stay in peak condition.
As the Red Seal Mechanic, you’ll report directly to our VP Operations and be entrusted with servicing and repairing a diverse range of vehicles and equipment that are key to our operations.
Here’s what you’ll be taking on:

New Equipment: Your expertise will be needed to outfit new vehicles, ensuring they are ready for our fleet from the get-go.

Inspections: Regular inspections of our fleet vehicles, trailers, and field equipment will fall under your care. You ensure they meet both regulatory requirements and company standards.

Scheduled Service: Perform essential maintenance services—like oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups—on our vehicles and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing breakdowns.

Repairs: When breakdowns happen, you’ll be the expert diagnosing and repairing the issue.

Documentation: You’ll keep detailed and accurate records of services, repairs, and parts used.

Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized workspace so that you can focus on getting the job done efficiently and safely.

Additional Duties: As with any role, your skills may be called upon for other related tasks to support the operations team.
We’ll also have you working on small engine repairs - whether it’s a pump, generator, or portable heater, your diagnostic skills will keep this equipment running strong.

What we’re looking for:

Red Seal certification.

Experience servicing and repairing fleet vehicles, trailers, and small engines.

Experience servicing construction field equipment, including skid steers, telehandlers, man lifts and forklifts.

You’re dependable and you’re a self-starter – you show up to work on time and get the job done.

You’re available M-F 7:00am to 3:30pm and are flexible to extend those hours when needed.

Safety is not an afterthought – you have a history of working safely and making sure equipment is in the best working order possible.
